Mr. Brian A. Heidt became the Director, S-3/5, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria, in November 2017.
Prior to joining USAG Bavaria, Mr. Heidt served as the Training and Operations Officer, Emergency Management Program Manager, Knowledge Manager and SharePoint collection administrator at IMCOM-Pacific Headquarters, Ft. Shafter, Hawaii, from January 2010
Mr. Heidt began his civilian career in April 2006 as a Plans and Operations Specialist at Camp Zama, Japan, where he also performed duties as a contingency support planner, emergency manager, operations officer, anti-terrorism officer and chief of training.
In February 2008, Mr. Heidt was selected above other senior civilians to perform as the Acting Garrison Manger/Deputy to the Garrison Commander for U.S. Army Garrison – Okinawa until November 2008 and was responsible for base operations at five sub installations as well as Joint Service base operations coordination in Okinawa. Mr. Heidt retuned to Camp Zama and was assigned as the Lead Strategic Planner where he also performed duties as the Command Initiatives Group and Executive Officer.
Mr. Heidt holds a bachelor’s in liberal arts from Excelsior College and a masters in human resource development from Webster University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001.
Mr. Heidt retired after 20 years of active duty service in 2006 and served in various Military Police positions of responsibility at numerous duty locations.
Mr. Heidt has been awarded multiple civilian service awards, including Installation Management Command’s Stalwart Award and two Superior Civilian Service Awards.
